Rental cottage Harmaa located in Tampere is an unique mixture of granite and logwood with different shades of grey. The fire place in the building is made of local, world famous grey granite (Kuru Grey Granite) and this detail also gave the cottage its name – the word Harmaa means grey. Stone material is present also on the surroundings – for example the stairs leading from the cottage to the lakefront are rocks found on the site. Cottage Harmaa is a modern year round cottage for six people. Like the Smoke Sauna building, Harmaa is also carved by hand and has a unique touch of traditional Finnish craftsmanship. Especially the massive fireplace built from local grey granite is a rare piece of work. The cottage has a spacious living room area, two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, sauna and a roomy terrace with a view to Lake Näsijärvi.

Kuvista välittyi jo viihtyisän oloinen hirsimökki, mutta todellisuus oli vielä tuplasti parempi. Viihtyisä ja tunnelmallinen, josta löytyi kaikki tarvittava. Vuokraus todella joustavaa ja ystävällistä. Sijanti oikein mainio, Tampereelta ei aja pitkään ja esimerkiksi Seitsemisen ja Helvetinjärven kansallispuistot ovat kohtuullisen lähellä. Tämä mökki onnistui luomaan todella mahtavat puitteet ihanalle viikonlopullemme.

A rustic cottage with simple, yet pleasant Nordic design inside. Sturdy wood logs blend together with local stone masonry for an aesthetic that makes you feel part of the surrounding nature. Though we were there in winter, we always felt cozy and warm. The fireplace was charming and the wood-burning sauna made for an authentic Finnish sauna experience.
